Egypt's Suez Canal Automobile Terminal (SCAT) celebrates major milestone, successfully launching first roll on/roll off ship operation
On November 13, 2025, the Suez Canal Automotive Terminal (SCAT) celebrated a significant milestone by successfully handling its first roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessel operation. This event marks the official commencement of SCAT's full-scale operations .
The vessel AICC HUANGHU discharged 2,103 vehicles at the terminal. This initial operation served as a valuable and successful test for the terminal's new systems and team. The experience provided valuable lessons, which have been incorporated into the terminal's standard operating procedures, further strengthening its commitment to achieving world-class efficiency and service .
